Sacrificial Lambs

The Faillace family imported sheep from Europe, with the USDA's blessing, to help grow a sheep-milk cheese industry in the U.S. Soon after receiving permission to import the sheep, Mad Cow Disease struck Europe. The USDA feared the disease would spread through the Faillace's imported sheep, so they confiscated and killed the sheep, provoking protests and controversy. This documentary follows their path from optimistic importers to disillussioned victims of the USDA's zealous protection of their beef-producer corporate clients.
